We operate at a capacity of 60 children per day, split between the age groups.

Explorers is ready to welcome your child from 8.30am Monday–Friday, and remains open until 6pm each night — perfect for working parents.

Yes, there is ample parking on site.

Yes, we ask that you prepare a packed lunch each day. Please send sufficient hydration — we have water facilities on site, so a refillable bottle is handy. Please note: due to allergy risks, no nuts in any lunch items (including Nutella/chocolate spread). We also politely request no fizzy or energy drinks.

Explorers are up for adventure in all weathers! Please send your child suitably dressed, including good shoes and outdoor wet-weather gear. Wellies are sensible, and a change of clothes at the start of the week is wise. We only stay indoors if the weather is really inclement — we use our grounds as much as possible.

Our in-house swimming teacher, Mrs Wood, is also our overall Explorers Leader, and is brilliantly equipped to support young people of all swimming abilities. Ratios follow national standards. Please supply a swimming cap to keep changing efficient and maintain hygiene standards.

If children can self-administer medication, please let us know by emailing Explorers@langleyschool.co.uk with their schedule. Our club leader is trained in administering basic medications. Tell us about any complex medication or medical needs so we can assess further.

There is a defibrillator on site and our staff are trained to use it. We follow normal emergency procedures, and there will always be a first-aid trained member of staff on site during Explorers opening hours.

We are experienced in the use of Epipens. The booking form lets you tell us about other allergies or dietary needs, and we may follow up to make sure we have a complete picture. Food isn't prepared on site, but we ask you to discuss with your child the need to avoid sharing food. Lunchtimes are supervised. No nuts in any packed lunch.

A day at Explorers is £65, and a full week costs £275. We process payments in advance to ensure the right staffing levels are in place.

We know trusted adults like grandparents often support working parents in the holidays. During booking, you can give us up to two other people (in addition to both parents) who can collect your child. We'll need their full names, contact details and an up-to-date photo, and we'll ask them for ID on arrival to meet our safeguarding standards.

Yes, we do.

We will contact you in the event of any issue in operating the club and provide as much notice as possible. In extreme cases, we may be unable to provide reasonable notice.

Our staff are trained in behaviour management and will handle any disagreements with their customary skill. A link to the behaviour policy will be provided in due course, based on practices already in place at the school.

Yes — providing your child is eligible and your Tax-Free Childcare account is active, we accept Tax-Free Childcare payments. It's a UK government scheme helping working families with childcare costs. Check eligibility on GOV.UK.

Yes — the Explorers Terms & Conditions are available to read, and form part of the booking process. They'll be sent along with the payment link once capacity is confirmed.
